However if you absolutely want your RAW images, we will provided them to you along with our post-produced JPG’s for an additional fee of $1,000.
Do you backup our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?
We have never lost an image from a wedding due to the following backup workflow for each our events:
After the shoot, we back up the CF card to a local server set up in a RAID 1 configuration (replication of data to two or more disks). Once the images are completed we upload the images to a offsite location and burn another copy for our archives. At any given point, there are three copies of the files.
How many hours do you work on the wedding day?
Up to 8 hours. I believe in capturing the whole story of your day, so I will be with you from the ‘getting ready pictures’ to after the first dance, speeches, cut of the cake, throwing the bouquet, the garter, etc.
What’s included in the photography package?
All of my packages include up to 8 hours of wedding photography coverage, a minimum of 600-800 fully edited high resolution images on USB stick ready for printing, and a secure gallery on my website of the same images for family and guests to view. I generally don’t stop taking photos for the whole day, aside from during the wedding dinner. The quantity taken is dependent on a range of factors (how many guests there are, the number of locations used throughout the day etc.
Do you provide partial day coverage?
We have an option for Intimate Weddings from Monday to Friday and some Sundays for up to three hours of service in the San Juan area. Contact us for details.

Do you take group, family photos as well as candids?
Yes, we take 10-15 minutes immediately following your ceremony for family formals. We don’t like to blog those, but we know that your moms and grandmas love them! I’m happy to take a limited amount of group photos of family and important guests; it is best for everyone if no longer than 20 minutes is spent on the group photos, and your ushers can play their part in gathering people together to speed up the process.
Can I upload my wedding photos to Facebook once I get the USB drive?
Yes! We love Facebook. As stated in our contract, you may use your photos for personal use only. If you want to share them on Facebook, we’re cool with that as long as you give us some serious photo credit! J
How many photographers will be at my wedding?
We always have at least two photographers at each wedding. The second photographer is responsible for shooting the groom getting ready, all details, providing a second angle on the ceremony and reception, and assisting the lead photographer with off-camera lighting for creative portraits. It also means that you will get photos from different angles which might not be possible with just one photographer, such as during the ceremony.
Do you have a replacement wedding photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have a network of experienced colleagues I can call upon, and I’m always making more friends.
What camera do you use?
I use professional digital SLR cameras and lenses by Canon, currently the 5DMKIII models. These are highly capable for weddings as they are well renowned for their low light capabilities and quick focusing systems, ideal for catching those important moments, even in the darkest of venues! I always carry 2 cameras with me to each wedding and a range of lenses, plus another equipment.
Are you insured?
Yes, all my equipment is fully insured and I am covered by public liability and indemnity insurance.
What do you do if we have an outdoor venue and it rains on our wedding day?
Most venues will offer you a rain plan with a backup indoor location. We easily adapt to any situation. Our favorite wedding photos have a lot more to do with your personalities and your chemistry as a couple, than what kind of background you’re standing in front of. If you are happy and in love, that will show in your photos. We see rain as a fun, adventurous twist that usually brings laughter and spontaneity.
Are you a member of any photographic professional associations?
Yes, I am an award winning member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) with a Loan Collection Awards, General Collections Awards, members Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and I am a PPA Certified photographer.
What albums do you supply?
We have accounts with most of the major printers, including Renaissance (USA), Graphi Studio (Italy), and Finao. After testing the durability, print quality/consistency, and cover style options, we have narrowed our printing partners to these album manufacturers. All the albums I use are hand finished, have edge-to-edge printing, and open out flat to allow images to be spread right across two pages with no loss of the image in the center crease. A wide variety of sizes and covers are available, including leather and photo-cover. I would be more than happy to bring them round to show you, please feel free to get in touch to arrange a meeting or by e-mail.
Can we see the album design before it goes to print?
Yes, I will put a design together using your favorite chosen images and then send an electronic copy of the page layouts. I want your album to be as perfect as possible and to your exact specifications before going to print.
How long will our album take to arrive?
Once you have approved the design, depending on the album chosen it will take 3-4 weeks for it to be delivered.
What is needed to retain your services?
I require a $1,000 retainer and signed contract to reserve your wedding date.
Is there an additional fee if we pay via credit card or PayPal?
Yes. The retail adjustment fee for all credit card transactions is 3% of the total package price.
Is there any other additional fee that I need to know?
Yes. 7% Puerto Rico Government Tax of 3% will be added to all service or packages.
How far in advance should I book you?
The average time out from the wedding that people book is 12-18 months, especially for the popular months of June, July and December. I occasionally book only a few months in advance, so it’s always a good idea to contact the studio to see if I’m available! If I’m not, I’m happy to recommend a few other photographers whose work I admire.
If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our deposit back?
Unfortunately no. Retainers are non-refundable and are use to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date we do not accept new clients for your date.
If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer towards a future date?
Yes. However, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.
